About the Artist

First of all, I would like to start off by saying thank you for coming to visit my page!

Born and raised in Lansing, MI, I have experienced MANY different things, good and bad in this lifetime.

Running a business, going to school full time, and being a full time single parent of 2 boys can take quite a toll on someone.  In order to ensure the safety and health of my baby, I have taken a break from making commissioned art, and focused on my personal collection, the book I am writing and my schooling. I have plenty to sell, so take a look, get yours today and spread the word!!!  ;)

I have always been a leader, and never followed the crowds, as my grandmother was a strong leader and contributed to many women's rights here in Michigan! She is even in the Michigan Women's hall of fame for all of her contributions to women's rights!

I have studied many things in my life from Biology, to  Molecular Biotechnology, (I have an Associates Degree in),  to Energy flow via Reiki, (I am a certified Reiki Master also) to Audio Production, which I am currently studying for my Bachelor's Degree.

I am fascinated by the world around me at its purest and the connections between, and within everything.  In many ways I am like Da Vinci, having many talents and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge in all strengths of life, from fitness to chemistry, music to art, biology to history, to Reiki, I could go on but I won't!  Also, I often hide hidden symbolism in my art, subconsciously, it just happens!!!

By age 30 I had basically become the oldest of my blood.   As you can imagine, I had a tremendous amount of loss within me and responsibility to take on.  They say pain makes for the best art, well it certainly has a way of fanning the flames of my creativity fire!

In 2017, I became a Reikie Master and during the course of my studies in doing so, lost my cousin, lifelong friend, father and only remaining beloved grandmother (who was more like my mother) all within 6 months of each other!  :(

I knew they were all watching over me and I turned the pain into a 1200 sq ft mural I did for Grand Rapid's Artprize in 2017, entitled "Be the Light." Go big or go home right?

In the summer of 2018, I won the Peoples choice award for my mural entitled "Break Free" in Lansings 2018 Artpath.

In  the summer of 2019 I won second place in the Brite Walls Mini Mural competition in Jackson, MI, against 70 other artists!  I also oversaw and completed my mural entitled "Love Thyself" in the Legendary Artist Passage located in St. Johns, MI, underneath the underpass along US 27, near Whittmore St.

I have learned to take things with a grain of salt and to laugh as often as possible, because if you can laugh through it, you're already winning!  I love to inspire, and uplift people, invoke curiosity within people and bring folks of all walks of life together!

Thanks for your support!
